UJI CEMARAN Salmonella sp PADA MAKANAN JAJANAN SEKOLAH DASAR DI KELURAHAN TOBEK GODANG KECAMATAN TAMPAN PEKANBARU

Abstract

Food is a basic need for humans to be able to live healthy and be able to carry out daily activities properly. However, from the various kinds of food consumed by humans, there are also foods that cause disease in humans. This happens because in the manufacture of food that is consumed less hygienic. This research is an experimental laboratory by means of culture. This study aims to determine whether there is contamination of Salmonella sp in snacks sold in the canteen of SDN 165 and SDN 176 Tobek Godang Village, Tampan Pekanbaru District. From 8 samples of snacks cultured on Selenit broth media, there was turbidity which indicated the presence of bacterial growth and after Gram staining, Gram-negative bacilli were found in 8 samples of snacks. The results of colony growth on SS agar culture media after culturing at 37°C for 1 x 24 hours on 8 samples found colony growth with the characteristics of round, white colonies. Based on the results of the biochemical reaction, it can be concluded that there was no Salmonella sp in the canteen at SDN 165 and SDN 176, Tobek Godang Village, Tampan Pekanbaru District, with a contamination percentage of 0%.
